IMP user prefs

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone has been using LDAP to store user preferences with 
IMP... such as reply name, filters, etc..  I currently have everything going into 
PGSQL, but we're going to be running into a bit of a problem when we have 
customers unsubscribing, then taking a username of an old customer... with 
LDAP, we could automatically get rid of their settings when their LDAP entry is 
removed...  

So, is this possible, or am i living in a dreamland? :)
