I'm not sure what you mean by "automatic upgrading" but I can tell you
that at least (a) you're going to have to download something (either the
tarballs or the RPMs for Horde 2/IMP 3) and install it, and (b) you're
going to have to do some manual work on the configuration files for Horde
2/IMP 3 to get it to work (there isn't a configuration convertor from 2.2
to 3.0). Probably (c) you're going to have to convert your users'
preferences and/or contacts also.

Look on the Horde FTP site for the README file that accompanies the
Horde/IMP RPMs. It has all the details if you want to use RPMs. In
short, all the RPMs you need are from Red Hat, except PHP (which we
tailor, based on the Red Hat ones) and Horde/IMP/etc.
