IMP slow when login in

I have a mailbox with about 10000 messages. When I try to access it =
through IMP 3.0 it takes ages to see all the messages. Is there =
something in IMP setup files that would let me specify how many messages =
to load at login? And load next chunk of messages only when I click =
next?=20
Please help!!!
