[imp] performance - memory

Dear all,

I am using php-4.2.1 and imp-3.1RC2. When I try the imp mail, the memory 
usage of process "httpd" jumps to 10M. Even I logout, the memory does not 
restore to normal. When there are lot of users, I am doubted if it would 
cause lots of swap problem. I attached the report of top.
