Dear all

I've just upgraded IMP from version 2.2.6 to 3.0 (and horde 2.0). My
platform is
a RedHat 7.1 on pentium. My php version is 4.2.1 compiled with the
configure options:

--with-apxs --with-gettext --with-xml --with-pgsql --without-mysql
--with-imap --with-kerberos --with-imap-ssl

These option actually result in the phpinfo page.

I have apache-1.3.4, postgresql-7.0.3-8 and also imap-2000-9 on the same
host HORDE/IMP is running on.

I tried to set up IMP but unfortunately it seems that the documentation for
the conf variable is not as rich as in the previous version. I had the
following problems:

1) it seems tha UW-IMAP do not allow connection to localhost so, following
the suggestion in INSTALL,
I tried to set up connection with IMAP-SSL setting in servers.php under
horde/imp/config:

$servers['imap'] = array(
    'name' => 'IMAP Server',
........
    'protocol' => 'imap/ssl',
    'port' => 993,
........
but whith these settings I cannot login , I get the following message in my
/var/log/maillog

May 23 16:46:59 myserver imapd[2354]: imaps alternative service init from
UNKNOWN
May 23 16:46:59 myserver imapd[2354]: Command stream end of file, while
reading line user=??? host=UNKNOWN

and the following in horde.log

May 23 16:46:59 HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN 147.163.52.164 to
myhost.mydomain.it:993[imap/ssl]
as myname [on line 332 of "/var/www/html/horde-2.0/imp-3.0/lib/IMP.php"]

If try to use IMAPS with netscape messenger from other client machines I
have no problems.
Let me say that in the phpinfo page there is a message reporting "SSL
support enabled" in the
imap c-client section.

2) How can I eliminate the "folder prefix" field from the login screen?
In other words where is the equivalent of the $default->user_change_folder
variable?

2) Can I skip the maintenace screen after the login (and set this as
defaulta for all users)? What variable can I set?

Any suggestion is appreciated

Thanks
