[imp] Login Failed

It's hard to say since there's many options in play, that why (as I said) I
suggest you check 2 things:

- Is POP/IMAP working: Use a normal mail client to connect, you say pop is
working for all clients, but the only thing that is relevant is that is is
workin on the webserver. (mostly publicly available servers are on a
seperate lan, and there might be a firewall between your web and
mailservers, make sure it allows pop/imap)

- if pop/imap works, sniff the wire to see the authentication, what looks
like a login failed bad password/login might be a : "No such mailbox on this
sytem" indicating that you are using the wrong alias.

- If you have a firewall between web and mailserver, you might use it's logs
to troubleshoot the connection.

Hi Joost

I have the same problem when I try to login.
My first question is: what happens if I use the IMP with POP server?
All clients in my networks use POP3 and work fine but, when I try to
connect via web with IMP,
I have "login failed bad password/login".

Any suggestion?

antonio
