[imp] new mail message

I'm having problems with the new mail pop up window. the pop up seams to only 
works if you just I.E. running. When I'm working in access or word i never 
receive the new email pop up until, i load the minimized I.E.. Can i have the 
minimized I.E. title bar flash or change titles when new emails arrive? if not 
then can i force the pop up to work with any program?
