This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

I was wondering if IMP would eventually correctly display Japanese.

I think that simple Japanese,- eg hiragana, displays correctly, but when =
Kanji is used the results are often lots of dots and nonsense Japanese.

I was hoping that IMP3.1 & horde 2.1 would resolve this, but it appears =
the same.

Looking back at the mailing lists this subject has been raised in the =
past, but has not been resolved.

At the moment I have my email collected on my mailserver, and I can =
access it either via IMP, or Outlook Express 6, or Netscape 6.2 Mail =
(all IMAP).

Both OE & N6.2 show me the correct text, IMP fails to display correctly.

Actually IMP fails to show the subject (unlike OE6) and on intial =
opening of the email it suggests toopen it is a new window, which then =
displays the incorrect text. In that new window I have tried changing =
the encoding type, but that does not help.
