Someone on the dev list gave me the answer. It's a bug in the latest PHP that 
caused relative paths (duhhh) not to work.. I got a CVS-STABLE version ans 
that fixed all the probs..

Now on to the next one :-)

BTW, is anyone using the MNultipanel patch with the latest IMP, it fails to 
patch here
