[imp] ASpell with Horde/Imp on BSD

What do you mean by "true"?

If you install IMP on FreeBSD from the port mail/imp3 with Aspell
(enabled by default), it will put this line in conf.php:

$conf['utils']['spellchecker'] = '/usr/local/bin/aspell';
