[imp] Error with ""in TO and From fields, error @UNKNOWN

Errors with reading imap mail 
addresses looking like 
""<someone@somewhere.com> 
or 
""<someone@UNKNOWN>
I used 
uw imap-2001a not
the 2002 version and this corected the problem
php-4.2.2
apache 2.0.39
Just thought I would tell the group in case someone else 
runs accross the problem.
It had me stumped.
