[imp] IMP and SSL/HTTPS Login Failures
Imp Horde

Good evening.
I recently installed Horde (2.1) and IMP (3.1) on OpenBSD 3.2. Using http
everything seems to work just fine. However, using https things start to
fall apart.
Specifically, during a login attempt the browser attempts to access
redirect.php in the correct directory but eventually MSIE bails saying that
it cannot find the server. Mozilla (Netscape) complains with a different
error saying that it cannot resolve host new.host.name.
I searched through the archive for posts relating to my problem and it does
not appear that I am the only one with this problem. However, any
suggestions given to solve the problem did not solve it on my machine.
Specifically, I found the posts by Nold detailing that I should set
KeepAliveTimeout to 300 and comment out the MSIE lines in my httpd.conf
file. Both of these changes did not solve the problem.
I also do not think that this is a failing of the SSL implementation on the
machine since other https pages work just fine on that machine. As well, it
only occurs when attempting to login. Accessing the login page using https
works just fine. In my horde.php file I also have the URLS set to 2 (auto)
but tried setting it to 1 to see if that would solve the problem. It did
not.
I am running out of ideas and patience. Does anyone else have other
suggestions on how to solve this problem?
Thanks.
