[imp] fullname hook and prefs

I think this has been discussed before but I was trying to get some
clarification.   It seems that some of the hooks (at least the full name) are
loaded before Auth::getAuth() is set.  But if I need this info for the hook to
work properly, what should I do.  Am I correct about this behavior or am I
missing something.  And if this is the way it works, can someone give me a
rough idea of what would need changing?
