No No No. As previously discussed on the list, RH 8/9 need this. RedHat
6.x do not need it. RH 7.x don't need it unless you install the updates
or some third party package which brings the c-client up to date.
This is dependent on your c-client versions in your imap and php packages.
Not on RedHat versions, and not specific to RedHat.
As documented:
* protocol: One of 'imap/notls' (or only 'imap' if you have a
* c-client version 2000c or older)
imap for c-client 2000c or older
imap/notls for c-clients newer than 2000c (e.g. 2001a included in newer RHs).
