[imp] 'no messages' when in subject view...

IMP seems to work fine except all folders say "No Messages". However, after
switching to 'Thread' listing, they all display. Upon returning to 'Subject'
listing there are "No Messages" again. Version 3.x of IMP works both ways just
fine on the same server setups and configuration. Any ideas??
