[imp] Session Timeouts - IMP

 This problem symptom is that any user periodically will have IMP report
"your session has timed out" when trying to login.

 This problem continues to plague our system from time to time. The
curious thing is that it will disappear for days sometimes weeks, then
mysteriously re-appear. 

 Sometime 3 login attempts will clear the problem, other times it will
not. Sometimes restarting Exploder will clear up the problem, sometimes
it will not.

 Has anyone had the same experience? Any workaround? Disable session
management altogether for IMP? Its getting to be a headache because it
is unpredictable, non-reproducible on demand, and wildly annoying to
anyone using the system when they need to read email, or, since we use
IMP for authenticating access to the system, any application.
