[imp] Cannot use password with a \ in it to login to imap server

There is a thread from long ago about special characters in passwords.
Not sure how or if it was ever resolved.

Okay.

It could very well be an issue outside of Horde/IMP.  You've upgraded your
php, c-client and imap server between your machines, so the change could be
in any of those places.

I'm not precluding it being a problem in Horde/IMP, I'm just saying there
are other possible problem points or interactions.
