[imp] Login and default username?

I've searched the archives for mention of this, but no luck.
Can anyone tell me why a username is occassionally displayed on the 
Horde login screen?  It doesn't always happen.  And we know for a fact 
that it is not tied to the browser as it the username that displays is 
not tied at all to the machine.  It is definitely something on the 
server end.

Is this a feature or a bug?  Please point me in the right direction!
