[imp] archiving mails

hello list

we use imp like a webmail-client it works very great.
We use imap with a quota of 20MB for the users

Many users me asked how they can archiv mails to have more space on the server.

Wath possibilitys there are ??

Is it possible to delete an attachement and to hold the rest of the mail on 
the  server ?

I now it is possible to save the Message Source in a textfile : can i do this 
for multiple mails in one click and how can i reimport ?

maybe sombebody have a solution ?
