Next step - are you using the latest PHP?  PHP's imap extension has also had
some problems in the past with long header fields, e.g.:
http://cvs.php.net/diff.php/php-src/ext/imap/php_imap.c?login=2&r1=1.142.2.15&r2=1.142.2.16&ty=h

so you should make sure you are using 4.3.4 or 4.3.5RC.
