[imp] Server reports out of memory

I have Red Hat 8.0
Apache 2.0.40-8
PHP 4.2.2-8
Imp 3.1.1
Horde 2.0
Pear 4.1.0 and
wvWare 0.7.4.

Sometimes the web mail server reports out of memory, there are 5000
users and a RAM memory with 512 Mb. The last time shows an out of memory
on a wvWare process.
Does the wvWare decline the performance of the computer server? What`s
the last stable wvWare version?
