The time I was searching for a PHP Binary Cache, MMcache was faster than
phpaccelerator.co.uk. But since mmcache stalled from that point on,
phpaccelerator.co.uk could be better now. You have to judge for
yourself, I think.

Just look at the options at http://turck-mmcache.sourceforge.net.
The option to use is "mmcache.shm_only"
