[imp] IMP login failures

This seems to be a popular subject in the archives, but with few
answers.  I currently am running 
FreeBSD 4.9
PHP 4.3.7
Horde 2.2.5
IMP 3.2

Courier IMAP 3.0.5
vpopmail 5.4
MySQL 4.x

All looks right, and when I bring up my browser, sure enough there is
the login page.

So to be sure, I checked my test.php and everything is keen.  I then ran
the IMP login test, and again via imap/notls, things were great.  It
showed the expected number of emails in my account.

Back the browser now.  When I attempt to login via the login page using
the exact same credentials, I get nothing.  It just returns me to the
login page.  The horde.log file reflects simply this:


Jul 13 10:43:44 HORDE [error] [horde] FAILED LOGIN for lists at whootis.com
[xx.xx.xx.xx] to Horde [on line 48 of
"/home/geoff/public_html/www.whosting.com/horde/login.php"]


Anyone have any ideas? Also is there a way to enable better logging? 
The logfile is fairly sparse.
