you are right to be confused.. its just a crappy setup they leave you with... i 
have been using my own custom brew horde since plesk 6 came out because they did 
a crap job of setting it up.  setup for 7 was a little better but not much. 
they installed turba but left the sources.php file with a whole bunch of extra 
uncommented examples.. so you had like 5 addy books and two of them worked, and 
one was really stripped down (only the mysql ones worked of course).  that and 
they ignored the vhook function and solved the vdomain problem with a solution 
that probably dated back to imp 2.x.  heh... if you want i can clean up the 
configs and tarball my install.

what OS is your server running? if you've got RH9 then you might also need to 
add mcrypt support to php.  for some reason it seems horde logs in quicker with 
mcrypt.
