[imp] disabling the sidebar

Ok, I found the option in the horde preferences to turn the sidebar 
off.  I have some interesting issues if I turn it off, tho.  I go to...

     https://localhost/horde/imp/

I get presented the "Welcome to Mail" login screen.

I log in, and if I'm using IE (OSX and WinXP) or Safari (OSX), Opera 
7.x (WinXP), I get sent to my inbox as I expected.

If I'm using a Mozilla based browser (Mozilla, Firebird) get sent to 
the horde "portal" page.  If I add  "/imp/" to my location bar, I get 
presented the "Welcome to Mail" login screen again.  It looks like the 
only way I'm actually able to get to an inbox is to turn the sidebar 
back on and then choose "Mail -> Inbox" from the sidebar.

Suggestions?
