Hello , I am a very recent user of Horde / IMP, so apologies if this is a daft
question - I have searched install / FAQ ...
Using Horde 3.0 / IMP 4.0.
I have set Horde up to authenticate using mySQL which is working fine. As I am
the only user of this system, things are very simple - I want to then be able
to use the mail application without logging in to Horde AND then to IMP (using
POP server account). I have found a couple of options:
1. Tell horde to use IMP for authentication
2. Set hordeauth=true for my POP account in IMP's servers.php
However, both of these require me to login to horde / IMP using my POP account,
which is a hoster-generated string of random-looking characters, and not a
friendly userid, like "nick" for example.
What I would love to do is either:
1. Tell IMP to accept horde authentication (i.e. I am in Horde, so I must be
OK). I can then set up my POP server as an "Other mail account" and get mail
that way, OR
2. Specify POP user/pass in the servers.php entry for my POP server
Are either of these possible? Any suggestions ...?
Nick.
