Not sure if this is a hint, but. I also had to comment out /horde/lib/Horde/Prefs/sql.php the line $this-_db->setOption('portability,DB_PORTABILITY_LOWERCASE | PORTABILITY_ERRCRS); Due to the lowercase variable not being defined.
