No, Sendmail is an SMTP server. It doesn't know anything about IMAP.
You can ask your ISP what IMAP server they are using, or you could check
if the server will announce itself when you connect to port 143 (type "1
LOGOUT", to exit telnet session).
BTW, what folder display are you talking about. Is it the one in the
left pane, or the one in dropdown box in upper right corner. The
sorting of folders for the later was (finally) fixed in latest version
of IMP (mostly of importance to Cyrus IMAP server users, folders under
INBOX are now displayed first, and than all other (shared, other users)
folders).
Mail server in this example was Cyrus (look at the very first line it
sends to you). If user folders are under home directories, than your
ISP is not using Cyrus for sure.
$ telnet mail.server.com 143
Trying 1.2.3.4...
Connected to mail.server.com (1.2.3.4).
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK mail.server.com Cyrus IMAP4 vx.x.x server ready
1 LOGOUT
* BYE LOGOUT received
1 OK Completed
