[imp] Strange behavior of new message counts

I can't say when this started because I used IMP in a different way
than I ever have when I discovered it.

I logged in and the sidebar showed that there were 3 new messages in my
INBOX (this isn't limited to INBOX; I can reproduce it in other folders
as well). I opened INBOX and, seeing the subjects of the messages,
elected not to open and read them. I opened a different folder and
noticed, when the sidebar refreshed, it showed no new messages in
INBOX. I went to my portal page, which has an IMP block, and it also
showed no new messages in INBOX (so this isn't limited to the sidebar).

Later, I opened INBOX again and started reading the first of the three
unread messages. While I was reading it, the sidebar refreshed and it
showed that I had two unread messages (the remaining unread messages)
in INBOX.

So, to summarize, it looks like, if I open a folder, the message counts
reflect no new messages. But, if I start reading the unread messages,
the message count reflects the number of unread messages.

Can anyone else reproduce this? If so, is it expected behavior? If not,
post and I'll enter a bug at bugs.horde.org.

Thanks in advance,
Rick
