I'm not positive that the issue is on the IMAP side. It may very well be a
bug in the PHP IMAP functionality (the IMAP server returns something but the
PHP function chokes on it and fails without actually getting the data - I
haven't read the RFC so I don't know which is broken). You may want to
forward this off the to UW and PHP teams and see if someone can make a
change to either system.

Great for Dovecot users - I am still suffering along with terrible
