[imp] Other mail accounts

Colleagues,

I am just "getting into" horde/imp as a mailer for our home network
(Linux based). I have just wrestled with the auth backend, and can
now actually login to the system.

Within IMP, I want to be able to pull mail from other mail accounts,
so I go to "accounts" and see the message to" Check all mail
servers you want to fetch mail from:" Unfortunately, there's nothing
listed. Not a single server. Which doesn't surprise me, actually,
since I've never provided any config details for any 'other' servers.
So the point that I would like some clarification of is where I actually
define these "other" servers? Can someone please advise?

Another point ... loging into imp the first time proved much of a
battle, and I was grateful for the
http://servername/horde/imp/test.php page. But there is a mystery.
I presently pull mail from 3 POP3 servers ... presently into pegasus
mail (windows program), so I know accessing the mail from these 3
servers via pop3 works. The test.php will only connect to these
servers via IMAP, not pop3 Why? Please note that I do not have
any mailer agents on my web server at all ... no sendmail, fetchmail
etc (I've never had any need for them) ... I just keep some ports
open and let the client programs do the work to remote servers.
Rather than manipulating mail on a remove server (the servers
themselves have web interfaces for this), I'd prefer to be able to pull
it down onto my server, manipulate it, etc.

So, what do I need to (a) allow imp to take pop3, and (b) store the
mail on my box?

Kind regards,
