[imp] pop3 sent-mail folder easy workaround ?

thanks to michael now we know there's no sent mail foleder using pop3,

any "easy" work around ?
I know php

best solution
1) modify imp "pages" to intercept sent mails
2) write a filter to mail server same idea

any opinion will be appreciate
