I just tried moving from 3.2 to 4.1 and hit the same problem. Since it's
such a jump, it's less of an upgrade than a new install. But I did see
the Apache process start sucking up CPU cycles and essentially lock up my
session when I went to login through IMP. I had to stop Apache, purge the
session directory, and restart Apache to clear things up.

I did not have the same problem with using pop/ssl and the IMAP daemon I
use has no problem with other clients. It's working fine since I rolled
back to IMP 4.0.4.

OpenBSD 3.6
PHP 5.1.2
Horde 3.1
IMP 4.1
IMAP-UW 2004g
Apache 1.3
