[imp] Cannot connect via imap/ssl

Hello,

I had written:

Michael M Slusarz has explained:
> You haven't read your documentation then.  TLS can not be used with PHP 
> 4.4.2.  You need at least PHP 5.1.0.

I cannot find this in the Horde, or Imp, documentation.

Excerpt from horde/docs/INSTALL:
> Prerequisites
...
> 2. PHP 4.3.0 or above.

Excerpt from horde/imp/docs/INSTALL:
> Prerequisites
...
> 2. The following PHP capabilities:
...
> a. OpenSSL support ``--with-openssl``

Neither horde/docs/INSTALL nor horde/imp/docs/INSTALL mention PHP 5.
(I have just checked this with grep.)



Michael M Slusarz has continued:
 > And SSL won't work unless you compile ssl into PHP.

Excerpt from horde/imp/test,php's response:
> You are running a supported version of PHP.
...

> OpenSSL Support: Yes

Excerpt from horde/test,php's response:

So, either the documentation and the test.php code must be enhanced,
or my problem has another reason than the PHP version.




Michael M Slusarz has recommended:
> Upgrade to IMP 4.1.2.

I certainly will do so.
