No.

Just the opposite. If the Virtual Folder (or any other folder) starts
randomly refreshing, users start seeing messages they are reading
disappear (since they are no longer "unseen" so they don't exist in
the refresh). And people do things like work with multiple e-mails at
the same time (i.e. a thread), so they may still want to refer back to
a message they just opened. There was all sorts of negative feedback
to this behavior until it was changed several years again. Quite
honestly, you are the first person to ever feel the other way -- at
least that I can recall.
