[imp] Sorting of search results

Hello to everybody,
sorting a search result seems to have no effect (messages are sorted by 
time but selecting other criteria has no effect). At random occasions 
the search result is not even ordered by time and users have to log out 
and login again to see searched messages in an ordered way.

Is there any options to investigating this behaviour?
