[imp] User is not authorized for Mail error

I am looking in /imp/config and I see a backend.php but not backend.local.php.

Sounds like maybe some your imp config was overwritten with the update. Look at backends.local.php and make sure that the 'hordeauth'  
parameter for your backend is correctly set.
