I think it will work without them.  Is it not working for you?

I never noticed anything before, but I just checked my web logs and
indeed I do have 404 errors for the first two of those files also.

Would have to be from the jta site, if anywhere.

Not seeing that.  Will try to check into it.

Try enabling your java console and see if any errors are being reported.

I think that jeta only works with ssh v1 protocol, and not with ssh v2
protocol.  So check your ssh server to make sure it will fall back to 
v1 if v2 fails.  I think if you don't have v1 fallback enabled, you see the 
kind of "banner than window closes" error you are reporting.

I don't think so, and if so only openssl, but I'm 99.9% sure it is not.

Yes, it does.  make sure it is working with v1 fallback.
