As Chuck says below, we don't use yahoo, we use nasdaq.com

It is true that the index symbols are not working.

The http://quotes.nasdaq.com/quotes.dll query is not returning data for
index symbols, but works fine for non-index symbols.  It does return xml
but the xml contains no stock info.
