While looking into the problem I saw 2 queries.
http://quotes.nasdaq.com/quote.dll - jonah.php
and http://quote.yahoo.com/ - yahoo.php
I thought that the query was coming from
http://quote.yahoo.com since http://quotes.nasdaq.com/quote.dll?page=indu 
seemed to display the correct info for the index
The index symbol for INDU is different in yahoo & thought that was the cause.
