[jonah] Just a blank screen

Replying to my own post here.
Thanks to someone making a quick exit from the IRC channel, I figured
out that I needed pear's HTTP Request.php package (Who was that masked
man?).  Found it at pear.php.net - Not too hard to install, and now I
have that problem fixed.  I now think I am on the last problem and I
will have a fully working install.  When I go to
myserver/horde/jonah/prefs.php  I can set all kinds of options.  Add
weather stations, news feeds, etc.  But the preferences don't seem to
stick. Every time I go to "Headlines" or "My Content" all I get now is:

Weather
Either no weather data is available for the location you have selected,
or you have not selected a valid location.
Headlines
You have no news subscriptions.

What do I need to look at now?

Also, from the main Horde page, there is an icon on the top frame for
"Layout".  It seems related to the jonah package, but it sure doesn't
seem to do too much either.  Lot's of Undefined indexes in
horde/portal_edit.php.  And none of the changes there ever stick either.

Finally, once I do get this working, will I be able to set it up so that
I can use it without having to log in?  I'd love to set it as my start
page, and I sure won't want to have to enter a username and password
each time.  Also, can I easily add my own static html to the page?  Say,
a google search field?

I could sure use some help.  I sure am looking forward to getting this
working.  It really seems like a pretty cool package.
