Well, here's the output of 'ps aux | grep apache':

root     17022  4.8  3.1  6920 4072 ?        S    16:40   0:01 /usr/local/apache
nobody   17023  0.0  3.2  6956 4124 ?        S    16:40   0:00 /usr/local/apache
nobody   17024  0.0  3.2  6956 4124 ?        S    16:40   0:00 /usr/local/apache

The one that's running as root, I assume is the master process. All the
rest have dropped priveleges to nobody.

Well, you won't be the first one I've stumped. The person I talked to from
the mcal mailing list couldn't figure it out either.
