Are there any benifits of using Smarty (other than obfuscating the
code)?
I didnt look into it too much, what I saw (in a hurry) was something
like this.
1) you  write some code in php and some in Smarty
2) Your code uses Smarty (written in PHP) to parse your templates
3) Smarty then re-creates php files  in the templates_c directory?

Maybe there are advantages that I missed. I'll look into it later again.
