No. I have said that holidays are not something that an external
dependancy is _needed_ for.
Your ispell example is bad because there's logic involved in spell
checking. Holidays are just a list of dates; there's no logic there.
I have never said that we should ignore the list that the gcal folks have
compiled and build our own. If we can write code for Kronolith that reads
the same files that are distributed with gcal, great! Use them!
But I simply can't see any reason to require end-users of Kronolith to
install a binary for this. Asking them to go get data files is completely
different.
