[kronolith] horde/imp work okay, but not kronolith/nag/mnemo

Hey!

It looks like this is a fairly common config problem, but I couldn't find a
useful solution in the mail archives, so I'll ask here. I've got horde/imp
working fine, but kronolith, nag, and mnemo all seem to fail with a similar
error. Here's the specific error from kronolith:

"A fatal error has occurred:

DB Error: connect failed

[line 65 of [...]/horde-2.1/kronolith-1.0/lib/Driver/sql.php]

Details have been logged for the administrator. "

I'm using postgresql on a fairly stock Solaris 8 machine. Here's the
interesting contents of conf.php for kronolith:

$conf['calendar']['driver'] = 'sql';
$conf['calendar']['params']['phptype'] = 'pgsql';
$conf['calendar']['params']['hostspec'] = 'localhost';
$conf['calendar']['params']['username'] = 'nobody';
$conf['calendar']['params']['password'] = '';
$conf['calendar']['params']['database'] = 'horde';
$conf['calendar']['params']['table'] = 'kronolith_events';

And finally, my environment:

It's pretty obvious that I'm missing something simple, and it's likely to be
the same problem for all three modules that are failing. I'm not a php or sql
expert in any sense, so please use small words in answering. :)

Many many thanks!

-David
