I made a mistake and answered directly to chuck (sorry). So here is my answer
for mailing-list archives.

This seems to solve entirely my problem, i can now use kronolith and mnemo.

The problem was solved without changing anything to this setting. In the doubt i
changed it anyway to avoid further problems.
