Subject: Help with Horde Shared Calendar
To: chuck at horde.org
Hello Chuck-
We here at MobiTV would really like to use the horde calendar especially
the shared calendar functions but our systems administration people are
struggling so I wanted to field you three questions. Your time in
answering them would be greatly appreciated and pave the way for another
happy set of horde users. Note that we have taken the CVS tree from a
few weeks ago and have horde up and running.
1. What is the optimal way to configure the system for the group
information. Should we have an LDAP server or manually enter users in
the horde user administration tool? LDAP seems to make the most sense
since other tools can use it as well.
2. When you make a shared calendar entry for a bunch of users how does
the calendar entry show up on other users' calendars. Right now my sys
admin people say that there is no way to add entries to other people's
calendar. This seems flawed.
3. What is the easiest way to share free/busy information. Is there
some sort of server that we can use? My sys admin people say that only
a Microsoft server can house the free/busy information
Sorry I sound so confused and desperate, but we sort of are.
Thank you very much,
Alan Moskowitz
