[kronolith] updates to events are added as separate events

I'vbeen using a version of kronolith that pre-dates the prod release of
kronolith 2.0 which does not do this.  Here is the scenrio (now using the
latest CVS version):

Inviter sends event to invitee.  Invitee adds it to his calendar.  Inviter
updates it and sends theupdate to the invitee.  Invitee accepts it, but it gets
added as a  saparate event, instead of changing the existing event.   Was this
an intended change to kronolith's behavior or am I missing a configuration step
with this new version?

I am using a mysql backend for kronolith...
