Thanks - that was it - I hadn't spotted that option. Now finally 
getting email reminders which read to English people as 4th of May, 
rather than 5th of April. Anwyay, it's been a good exercise - I've 
learned about configuring locales on Debian, and a bit of PHP, and I've 
now read the code in the Kronolith scheduler which appears to cleverly 
group together the emails for recipients with the same 
language/24-hour-clock settings.

This followup is coming from my IMP installation. I somehow doubt that 
it will thread correctly in the mailing list archives - since I take 
the list in digest format, I'm not sure whether there's a way to 
reference which particular message I'm following up, other than using 
the subject line.
