[kronolith] Using kronolith's Kolab storage driver on non-Kolab IMAP server?

Hi all,
I'm using KMail to store my Kontact calendar on a normal IMAP server (NOT a
full Kolab groupware server) in Kolab format. This allows me to access my full
calendar from all of my three machines in Kontact.

Now, I'd like to use Kronolith to get a web frontend for the mail folders
containing the Kolab-format calendar, too, and to sync it with my Nokia N900
mobile phone using SyncML.

I changed the storage driver to Kolab (and enabled Kolab globally). Since I
don' t have any LDAP server installed (no need for it), I didn't change the
settings. I'm using IMAP authentication, btw.

Now, adding an event with the Kolab storage driver always gives an error about
a failed LDAP connection (of course, I don' t have an ldap daemon set up on my
mail server...)

So, is there any way to make the kolab storage driver work without having a
full Kolab server installed (just like Kontact works with any IMAP server for
storing the calendar)? I don't really understand why LDAP is needed to access
the calendar?

Thanks,
Reinhold
